Privacy policy — Playmat

Playmat is a turn timer for board games. It runs entirely on your device: there are no accounts, no servers of ours, and no feature that sends what you do to anyone. The only information that leaves your iPhone is anonymous technical crash and performance reports, which we use to fix bugs.

This policy explains exactly what that means.

What we do not collect

Playmat does not collect, request or store off your device:

Your name, email address, phone number or any contact details.
Any account or credential: the app has none.
Your location.
Your address book, photos, calendar, microphone or camera.
Advertising identifiers (IDFA) or any tracking across apps or websites.
Your games: how long each turn lasts, when you play or who you play with.

We do not sell or share any data with third parties for commercial purposes, and there are no ads. The current version also has no in-app purchases or subscriptions; if any arrive later, payments will be processed by Apple and we will never receive or see your payment details.

What stays on your device

Playmat saves the turn duration you pick and your preferences (theme, typeface, countdown design) in the system’s local storage. That information:

Never leaves the device.
Cannot be read or recovered by us.
Disappears when you delete the app.

Diagnostic data

So the app does not hang or crash, Playmat sends automatic technical reports to Sentry, a crash-reporting service. These reports are anonymous and contain nothing about what you do in the app.

What a report contains

Technical context	iPhone model, iOS version, Playmat version and build, system language and region, available memory.
Identifier	A random install identifier generated by the SDK, unconnected to you or your Apple Account.

Sending personal data is explicitly turned off in the SDK configuration (sendDefaultPii = false): neither your IP address nor any other identifying data is attached.

Why, and on what legal basis

We process this data to keep Playmat stable and secure and to fix bugs. The legal basis is legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) in making the app work properly. You can object by writing to us.

The international transfer to Sentry relies on the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses. Sentry acts as a processor and may not use this data for its own purposes.

How long it is kept

Error events are kept in Sentry for the standard 90 days and then deleted automatically. We keep no copy anywhere else.

Data handled by Apple

When you download Playmat from the App Store, Apple processes your data as its own controller, under its own privacy policy. We only see aggregated, anonymous statistics (number of downloads, countries, iOS versions) and, if you have turned on sharing analytics with developers in iOS settings, aggregated crash reports. None of it identifies you.

This website

playmat.farre.cat is a static site hosted on Cloudflare Pages (Cloudflare, Inc.). The site:

Uses no cookies.
Loads nothing from third parties to render content: the fonts are served from this same domain.

Visit statistics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to know how many visits the site gets. It’s built specifically not to need a cookie notice: it uses no cookies or any other browser storage, and it does not identify or track people from one website to another. What we see is aggregated and anonymous: number of visits, referring page, approximate country (from the IP address, which is not stored), device and browser type.

The legal basis is legitimate interest in knowing whether the site is being used. You can object by blocking the static.cloudflareinsights.com domain with a content blocker, or by writing to us.

Like any server, Cloudflare logs technical request data (including the IP address) for a short period, for security and abuse prevention. That processing relies on the legitimate interest in keeping the service available and protected.

Your rights

You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability by writing to playmat@farre.cat.

Because diagnostic reports are anonymous and cannot be linked to a person, in many cases we will not be able to tell which data is yours (Article 11 GDPR). If you want something deleted, tell us the approximate date and time and your device model and we will try to locate it.

If you believe we have handled your data badly, you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (Agencia Española de Protección de Datos, C/ Jorge Juan 6, 28001 Madrid, aepd.es) or to the supervisory authority of your country of residence.

Children

Playmat is not directed specifically at children under 14 and does not knowingly collect their data. As the app asks for no personal data at all, there is nothing a child could enter.

Changes to this policy

If we change anything, we will update the date at the top of this page. If the change matters — for example, if Playmat starts collecting something new — we will also say so in the app’s release notes.
